Alcoholism, widely spread in many countries of the world, is now seen as a great social evil. It is caused by immoderate consumption of alcohol, which has a detrimental impact on the health, life, work, culture and welfare of society. Under the influence of alcohol are buried moral and ethical principles, there are conflicts in the family, team, gradually increase mental and other violations. Already after a single use of low doses of alcohol is developing the first stage of intoxication - a sense of fun, physical strength and well-being, increased self-confidence, disinhibition recidivating processes, the weakening of criticism.
Often believed that use regular glass like state (euphoria) increases. If a drunkard at the time not to stop, he could lose control over their actions, with the amount consumed; speech becomes slurred, and actions tactless. There is a state of so-called tolerance - increasing stamina to action alcoholic beverages.
What are the reasons for the dramatic expansion of alcoholism?
To answer the question about the reasons of alcoholism without taking into account socio-biological and medical factors is not possible. Among the social reasons often cited difficult economic situation of the working class and the peasantry in the conditions of class society. This indisputable fact, however, does not explain the reasons of increasing of its consumption in countries where living standards are steadily rising. Sociological research recently opened additional factors. It turns out that "...the need to intoxication is supported by the inherent human desire to feel the rise of vitality, to feel a sense of joy, pleasure, rest and get rid of unpleasant emotions: frustration, anxiety, protest" *. Among the population there are also "drinking tradition associated with the administration of religious cults, housewarming, the wedding ceremony, the first payday, ahead of schedule, and so on, these factors is another reason distribution of household drinking. In such conditions, with the connivance and promotion of adult attached to the use of alcohol boys and adolescents. "I never felt the craving for alcohol, - said one of them, " but when he was in the company respected people, could not avoid their drinking traditions... And soon he eagerly began to await the opportunity to drink with them."
In addition to social factors have to be taken into account individual peculiarities of the personality of young men and teenagers. To use alcohol predispose neurotic traits: weak-willed installations, emotional instability and heightened suggestibility, fear of difficulties, lack of confidence in their abilities, lack of self-control. These qualities are formed in early childhood under the influence of improper upbringing. Talking with parents of young men, sooner addicted to alcohol, we have always been revealed defects in education. Children grow up capricious, rebellious and proud. Parents not to the extent of protected and spoiled them, putting aside from year to year "drastic" measures to until they are older and wiser. And they grew up... with a poorly developed sense of duty, not only in relation to the beloved, friends, staff, but even to parents, as those at the right time not have the perseverance won't true parental authority.
