Distilled water

Distilled water (Aqua distillata, s. destillata) is purified by distillation of drinking water. According to the requirements of Pharmacopoeia distilled water for medical purposes - liquid without smell and taste, pH 5,0-6,8. Distilled water should not contain significant amounts of reducing agents, chlorides, sulfates, nitrates, nitrites, calcium, CO2 and NH3.
For particularly precise works use the bidistillate - double-distilled from platinum or quartz equipment distilled water. The bidistillate store in cookware made of quartz glass or glass "Pyrex". Distilled water not suitable for drinking. Cm. also Distillation.
