The need to develop the physiological bases of health is obvious. In 1922 Century I. Lenin, critically examining the positive and negative aspects of the theory Taylor, wrote about the need to disclose "...the main scientific data on physiological income and expenditure in the human machine"1. This scientific task formed the basis of the research of many generations of Soviet and foreign scientists.
For psychophysiological characteristics professional performance study of the functional activity of various organs and systems. Typically explore the most characteristic feature, which is associated with the execution of certain work processes. Changes of parameters of these functions is to a large extent depend on the intensity of work, labor activity and age. "Separate" age effect from professional is only a small influence the latter. For the characteristic of age-related health as a model were selected group of persons which activity did not pronounced adverse effects on the body. Given the fact that the professional activity of people is becoming more of a mental nature, most research has been conducted on the group of engineers who are not employed directly in production (planners, economists, engineers, designers and others).
Engineering work employs a significant number of individuals of middle and advanced age, with great production experience and experience. Their labour is relatively uniform, not burdened hard pace and rhythm of work, sanitary-hygienic conditions are generally favourable, and therefore the physiological changes that occur in the body of these workers for many years of their professional activity, caused mainly permanent mental work and aging. Specified professional interlayer most closely reflects the health of the person of the older worker and the retirement age and changes, emerging in connection with years of mental work in conditions amounting to natural aging.
The group of engineers studied psycho-physiological indicators, socio-hygienic characteristics workload, its features and productivity. For research have been matched healthy individuals. The results reflect age-related changes of the performance at a relatively relaxed work and serve as the data when the characteristic of professional capacity of mental workers of other professions. In healthy people with fatigue labour shifts psychophysiological indicators expressed sharply.
In the dynamics of the working day for persons of different ages relative to the same professional-industrial complex causes various quantitative and qualitative changes of the functional state, so the age-performance obtained in a state of high workability in the beginning of the day and lower - middle and the end of the day.
To characterize the health examined visually and acoustic - motor reaction, attention, memory, information parameters hand-eye of the channel, simple thought processes.
Separate research methods have been significantly modified for the task being solved and industrial conditions, and methods of determining the information parameters of hand-eye channel (matrix and formulas for their calculation) is specially designed. All studies were carried out in production conditions, each of the tested for several days. On all of the methods were also carried out preliminary training session (8-10 research). Just made about 3,000 training and 15,000 basic research, which allowed confident enough to assess how changes in indicators during the working day and age dynamics.
