Biocenosis

Biocenosis is a natural community of plants and animals, including parasites, vectors of pathogens of diseases and their pathogens, which occupies the area of habitat with more or less homogeneous conditions of existence. Members of biocenosis are linked and are in a state of dynamic equilibrium. Cm. also Parasitoses, Natural focality.

Biocoenosis (from the Greek. bios - life, koinos - General) - a community of animals and plants more or less permanent species, occupying a homogeneous area, i.e. a certain biotope. The followers of biocenosis are in direct or indirect relationships and dependencies from their environment. Therefore, the ecological community may be considered as part of a more General notion biogeocenose, i.e. the totality of organic forms together with a portion of the earth and the inherent properties of the atmosphere, soil, water regime and others In the composition of biocenoses are not only multicellular animals and plants, but also all microorganisms, parasites, carriers of pathogens of diseases and pathogens (see Parasitoses). The study B. determined by the nature of approach to it. For epidemiologists, Parasitologists, for example, should the identification of linkages and relationships owners with pathogens and their vectors. This opens up the possibility of breaking the circulation of the pathogen in the Baltic, which is important in the development of measures for disease prevention and control (see Natural focality).
