Hanifan (Chiniofonum; synonym of Atran; list B) is a mixture of 7-iodine-8-hydroxy-5-cipolin-sulfonic acids with sodium bicarbonate (3 : 1). Contains 25-26% iodine. Used as an antiseptic in 0.5-3% solution and 10% of the powders. When amebiasis, balantidiasis, ulcerative colitis, hanifan applied inside, in a daily dose of 1.5-3 g on 2-3 admission after eating 3-6 cycles intermittently in 5-10 days. Hanifan causes diarrhea.
