Chylothorax

Chylothorax - accumulation of hilus (lymph) into the right or left pleural cavity. Chylothorax develops as a result of damage to the walls of the thoracic lymphatic duct injuries during thoracic operations, due to other pathological conditions (cysts, benign and malignant tumors, inflammation and others). Chylothorax may be accompanied by significant after lymph - up to 5 liters per day. Treatment of chylothorax - pleural puncture with the removal of the hilus, if long continued chylothorax - intrathoracic ligation of the damaged duct or they with one of the veins of the chest cavity.
