Diagnosticums

Diagnosticums - suspension killed microbes, which serve as antigens serological studies and allergens for allergic diagnostic samples.
Diagnosticums have found wide application in the diagnosis of typhoid, paratyphoid, dysentery, brucellosis, tularemia, ricketsiosis, leptospirosis. They are also used for setting the RAC (reaction of binding complement) serological diagnosis of leptospirosis. For the diagnosis of typhoid use the so-called O-diagnostikum (to detect a group Of antibodies) and N-diagnostikum (for the detection of species, N-antibodies). For statement of agglutination reaction most diagnosticums preserved 0,1-0,2% solution of formaldehyde. Diagnosticums of Rickettsia and Leptospira can phenol. When setting opcio-Pago-ciarnai reactions are used diagnosticums of microbes killed by heating.
In Virology as a diagnostic use antigens for RAC and antigens for RTG (reactions of haemagglutination inhibition).
Viral diagnostics processed to reduce anticomplementary properties - processing physical (repeated freezing and thawing) and chemical (impact of ether and chloroform) methods. Cm. also Serological studies.
