Respiratory pigments

Respiratory pigments - colored organic matter in the cells of animals and plants involved in the transport of oxygen or in tissue respiration. In humans and animals oxygen transfer from respiratory tissue carries iron respiratory pigment hemoglobin (see the blood in the muscular tissue of a tank of oxygen is myoglobin. The number of respiratory pigments involved in oxidative processes (see Oxidation of biological)are cytochromes (see Enzymes).
