Electrostimulation

Electrostimulation is the use of pulse currents for stimulation neuromuscular apparatus when paresis, paralysis, atrophy, muscle atonia. Depending on the nature of the lesion use different settings of the current, which is selected by the doctor on the basis of data electric diagnostics. For this purpose apply apparatus "Wei-1", "Stimulus", "Amplipuls-ST", "Amplipuls-4"; the procedures are performed daily or every other day; treatment - 15-20 procedures.

Electrostimulation is stimulation of activity of organs or body systems by electric stimulation.
In the medical purposes is used electrical stimulation of skeletal muscles and nerves, smooth muscles of internal organs (large intestine, bladder, and others), the heart muscle at infringements of a rhythm of its activities, as well as respiratory muscles or phrenic nerve with artificial breathing.
The most common electrical stimulation of skeletal muscles and nerves, which sometimes is called electro-gymnastics. In these cases applies the pulse current (see), obtained by means of suitable devices (AFM-3; WAI-1). Talk to the muscle or nerve is fed through electrodes placed in the most excitable points, which are pre-electric diagnostics; however, you also define the most effective form of pulse current.
Electrical stimulation of muscles can be done in a rhythmic or active form. In the first case, the contraction and relaxation of muscles in a constant rhythm, which is set by each procedure in advance, in keeping with the character and status of the affected muscles. Submission of termination, the current produced automatically in a specific rhythm. Active electrical stimulation is used when the patient has not completely lost the ability to reduce the affected muscles. The current manual is included with the controller so that the action coincided with the attempt by the patient to make a self-movement with the help of the affected muscles; electric irritation complements the natural mechanisms that cause the reduction of the affected muscles, and helps to restore their broken functions.
Electrical stimulation of skeletal muscles in combination with other therapeutic activities used in neuritis, particularly traumatic, with violation of conductivity of the nerve trunk and flaccid paresis, and paralysis in the secondary paresis or muscular atrophy (inaction), functional paralysis of different etiology.
In cases where the reaction of the affected muscles on electric current is absent, especially if it is caused reduction of healthy muscles, and when the sharp pain is the use of electrical stimulation of muscles impractical.
