Eosinophilic granuloma

Eosinophilic granuloma (synonym Taratynova disease) is a rare disease characterized by the expansion of the reticulo-granulomatous tissue, rich eosinophilic white blood cells.
The most frequently affected bone system. Often see multiple lesions of bones. Known nekotnei destruction: the skin, the gastrointestinal tract, lungs, muscles and other
The etiology and pathogenesis. There are statements about infectious-allergic nature of the disease. Some authors associate eosinophilic granuloma with injury, other - with fabric helminthic invasion. Common eosinophilic Wegener observed in permanent migration in the body the larvae are not adapted to it nematodes animals. Single eosinophilic granulomas are observed in the gut when strongiloidoz. Eosinophilic granuloma bones was first described by N. I. the Taratynov (1913) as pseudotuberculosis granuloma unclear etiology. P. Century Skaldin and E. D. Savchenko (1952), has called for inflammatory diseases. Beck (W. Beck, 1943) suggested the name "benign bone marrow retikuluma with eosinophilia".
Currently, many authors combine eosinophilic granuloma with Hand-shyullera-Christian disease (see) and Letterer-Ziv disease (see) and refer them to the group of histiocytosis X (see Langerhans). I believe that eosinophilic granuloma bones is a benign flowing abortive local form of the system of reticuloendotheliosis. N. I. Sobolev and A. I. Ryabinkina (1953) include eosinophilic granuloma group painful forms, standing on the edge between hyperplastic and neoplastic processes.
When localization eosinophilic granuloma in the tubular bones areas of destruction are round or oval in shape, with no reactive changes in the circle of fire. In the jawbone and the temporal bone destructive and osteolytic lesions krupnoplastinchatam shape.
Microscopic examination of material obtained by biopsy or method of puncture of lesion focus, find granulomatous tissue of the major reticular cells with pale colored cytoplasm, rounded or oval kernel, located in the center (Fig. 1). Among monotonous single-reticular cells are often found two-, three - and multi-core giant forms. Many eosinophilic white blood cells. In places, they seem to "infiltrate" the main reticular cloth seats form independent fairly large gatherings. Meet macrophages able expressed phagocytic activity and lymphoid cells, diffuse or focal accumulations. Often find blood vessels, mainly capillary type, small hemorrhages and foci of necrosis.
On the periphery of bone destruction lot of fibrous tissue, among which are found bone fragments with symptoms of lacunar resorption, and the newly formed bone balocchi.
Eosinophilic granuloma other localizations (gastrointestinal tract, muscles, lungs) usually macroscopically looks or sharply delimited infiltrates, or tumor node soft consistency in the context of grey-red color. Eosinophilic granuloma skin is manifested in the form of plate infiltrates or nodules, often nekrotizirutee and turning into faltering ulcers (L. N. Razowski).
Microscopically eosinophilic granuloma of different localization of the same type.
