Examination of drug intoxication

"The fundamentals of legislation of the USSR and Union republics on health care is provided by the mandatory authorization of the Ministry of health of the USSR on the use of drugs in medical practice (article 34). This is determined by the absolute necessity of strict observance of terms of appointment and dosages of drugs, as practically applied and newly proposed, aimed at improving medical care to the population. A special situation exists in relation to drugs and other poisonous substances. Their use requires an abundance of caution, manufacture or sale of these substances, and also violation of rules of production, storage, release, accounting, transportation and forwarding is a criminal offence (article 224 of the criminal code).
Drugs, even allowed to be used in medical practice, under certain conditions, can cause intoxication, causing ill health or death. The conditions include: reactions of the organism, while the application is incompatible drugs, abuse single or cumulative dose, and the violation of the relevant regulations concerning the mode of application of one or another means; manifestation of side effects of drugs, especially drug allergies; domestic poisoning caused by drugs in a careless, negligent or intentional use.
In medical practice there are cases when there intoxication with drugs due to their pharmaceutical and pharmacological incompatibility. In propisi dosage forms issued by the doctor, can be farmatsevticeski incompatible substances who have physical or chemical reactions that result in the drug becomes unuseable and therefore can harm health. The same thing can happen if propisi medicines made rationally, but with simultaneous use of different funds occurs pharmacological incompatibility as a natural consequence of that was accounted pharmacodynamics specific drugs and at the same time neglected their combined effect on the body. Along with drugs known pharmacological incompatibility, which for an organism of the patient becomes adverse interference of medicinal substance with non-drug factors, such as food substances.
In the system of making copies of medicines, there is a mandatory compliance with the dosages prescribed by the current regulations and instructions. However, in some cases there are underestimating contraindications to the use of medicinal substances and their cumulative properties, clinically inappropriate prescription potent and poisonous substances, increase of their one-time or daily dose, and sometimes a manifestation of self-confidence in their application. Violation of special provisions for the application, required to achieve therapeutic effect of drugs (path and pace of introduction, the fragmentation of dosages and others), may also be a cause of the deterioration of the disease and in some cases even death.
For forensic special evidential significance analysis of medical documents (recipes, maps out-patient or in-patient and others), explanations of medical workers, an examination of the injured use of advice from relevant professionals, and upon the occurrence of death - forensic medical study of the corpse and the application of a rational complex of laboratory methods of research.
