Gambusia

GambusiaGambusia (Gambusia Affinis) - viviparous fish from the detachment of toothed Karpov, lives in freshwater. Length of the male 4 cm, females 7 cm (Fig.), fry 7-8 mm Fry reach sexual maturity month after birth. Eats Gambusia various small organisms that live in water, larvae and pupae of mosquitoes, including the genus Anopheles (see Mosquitoes). Gambusia prolific, gluttonous, easily adapts to various conditions of water bodies. Breeding gambuzii is one of the important measures in the control of malaria transmitting mosquitoes.
