Morphological characteristics of the mucous membrane of the intestines and modifying enzymes

    Sigmoidoscopy in patients with symptoms of colitis reveals hemorrhagic fragile mucous membrane with ulcerations. In biopsy samples of the mucous membrane detect non-specific changes, ranging from minor infiltration lymphoid stroma and plasma cells to polymorphonuclear cell infiltration, destruction of surface epithelium, limited abscesses and stretching glands mucous membrane of the rectum.     2) partial atrophy of the villi. They shortened and divided curved arches, giving the mucous membrane type twisting the surface of cells. Stroma infiltrated plasma cells, eosinophils and lymphocytes. Sometimes increases and the number of fat cells;
    3) Subtotal atrophy of the villi. The mucous membrane is smooth with pronounced changes characteristic of chronic inflammatory process.
    Similar changes of the mucous membrane of the intestines see patients suffering from enteritis type sprue, celiac soybeans, failure disaccharidase, exudative enteropathy, acute gastroenteritis and protracted nonspecific enterocolitis[55, 58, 61, 62]. According to the latest data [60, 63, 64]in patients with food allergies to certain medications mucosa detect the increased number of mast cells, eosinophils, and intraepithelial lymphocytes. In response to the test with specific food allergen is degranulation fat cells. Treatment kromoglikata (disodium salt) in some patients leads to normalization of the mucous membrane and prevents its changes after sampling the food allergen.
