Gemosideros skin - pathological changes caused by the deposition in the dermis of iron-containing pigment - hemosiderin. Hemosiderin is formed from the hemoglobin of the red blood cells in hemorrhages or is deposited in the skin as a result of accumulation in the blood when hemochromatosis. Clinically gemosideros of the skin characterized by the appearance of spots 0,1-3 cm in diameter and more from yellow to dark brown; at the same time there are usually small, steadfastly advanced vessels - telangiectasia, point bleeding - petechiae, areas atrophy. Symptom harness (petechiae on the place of compression Assembly) and canned sample (petechiae on site overlay banks) are often positive, which indicates a decrease in the resistance of the capillaries. Depending on the nature of lesions, their location and localization there are several forms of gemosideroze skin: Samburga disease (see); a circle teleangiectasia purpura, Majocchi - isolated Krusovice located eruption rash with atrophy, located mainly around hair follicles; senile net gemosideros skin - small purpura and pigmentation on the rear of the hands and the extensor surfaces of the forearms; lichenoides Poborsky and pigment dermatitis, Guiera - Blum [has lichenoid (small flat) papules, areas atrophy no]; ocher-yellow dermatitis legs, usually accompanied varicose ulcers drumsticks. The prognosis is favorable. When fresh hemorrhage stopped, gemosideros skin slowly undergoing a reverse development.
Treatment: ascorbic acid 0.25 g 3 times a day, rutin 0.05 - 0.1 g 3 times a day, diphenhydramine 0,03 - 0,05 g 3 times a day, drugs calcium (10% solution of calcium chloride on 1 table. L. 3 times a day, calcium gluconate 0.5 g 3 times a day). Treatment for 3-4 weeks, depending on the clinical picture.
