Hyaluronidase

Hyaluronidase is an enzymethat catalyzes the hydrolysis of hyaluronic acid (an important part of connective tissue and skin).
Hyaluronidase is widely distributed in nature. In mammals, it is found in large quantities in the testes, discovered in bacteriawith high infuzionnomu, the poison of snakes, salivary secretions leeches, fast-growing tumors. There are several types of hyaluronidase, which differ from each other by the specificity of the split of the substrate. Hyaluronidase sperm splits, except hyaluronic acid, chondroitin and chondroitin sulfates. Under the action of hyaluronidase sperm is dissolving layer follicular cells, egg cells, which creates conditions for the introduction of sperm. Loosening of the connective tissue and skin, provide hyaluronidase contained in germs and bacteria, creates conditions for the spread of infection. Heparin inhibits gialuronidasy activity. Hyaluronidase is contained in drugs - lease (see) and ronidae (see). Cm. also Hyaluronic acid.
