Hypochlorhydria

Hypochlorhydria (synonym hypaciditas) - low acidity of gastric contents (total acidity - below 40 titration units-free-HCl - below 20). Can occur in healthy people without causing diarrhoea disorders. Often hypochlorhydria is a symptom of organic (chronic gastritis, gastric cancer) or functional lesions of the stomach. You must treat the underlying disease.
