Diseases of the digestive system

In section describes the system diseases of the digestive system (esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, biliary tract, pancreas).
Well-known information brief, more detailed data about new views of etiology and pathogenesis, and therapy described diseases. Considerable attention is paid to the diagnostics.
Clinical data (characteristics of the disease, differential diagnosis is based on a large clinical material and long-term experience of each of the authors. The readers ' attention is drawn to the little-known nosological forms (the number of lesions of the esophagus, disaccharidase deficiency, leading to the symptoms of the defeat of the small bowel, ulcerative disease, baby ulcerative colitis). When describing organic diseases of the corresponding differential diagnosis using modern lifetime morphological research bodies (aspiration biopsy of mucous membranes of digestive tract, needle biopsy of the liver).
The presence in the team of authors surgeons allowed to present the edge of gastroenterology not only from the position of an internist, but with a description of the most efficient surgical benefits.
In section focuses on the treatment of specific diseases. Attention is drawn not only to the utilization of new drugs, but also the most rational combination of clinical nutrition, drugs and the dosage and duration of use. In accordance with the tactics of treatment for chronic diseases are described therapeutic measures in remission of the disease (courses of anti-relapse treatment of peptic ulcer, chronic ulcerative colitis, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis).
Section is intended for physicians and surgeons.
Section contains 10 tables, 130 illustrations, bibliography - 614 names.

System diseases of the digestive organs occupy an important place in the overall morbidity of the population, and the main of them (chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer disease) do not tend to decrease, and some diseases (chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis) are characterized by further growth.
The importance of this problem is determined and the fact that not only organic and functional disorders of the digestive system are accompanied by serious violations of metabolism (enzyme, vitamin, electrolyte and others), which cause chronic pathological state as a system of digestion organs and the whole organism.
Diseases of the digestive system, continuing for many years, is a high tendency to recurrence and aggravation. This reduces work capacity of people suffering from these forms of pathology. Inflict considerable damage to the state (pay increases of days of temporary disability and premature onset of disability).
Notable progress, since 50-s of this century, in the development of new methods of research of the gastrointestinal tract forced to drastically revise the existing ideas about the nature of some of the major diseases of the digestive organs. However, domestic medical literature is far from a sufficient number of books that introduced the doctors with the current state of gastroenterology in General, what is needed first of all for their practical activities.
This section shall not have the nature of a monograph. Well-known textbooks information about the clinic individual in question diseases outlined briefly. It enables to elaborate on that new, received in the domestic and foreign literature on such well-known diseases as chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, cirrhosis, chronic lesions of the intestine, etc. But at the same time draws readers ' attention to a little-known nosological forms - some lesions of the esophagus, ulcerative colitis, sprue, regional REIT (Crohn's disease), carcinoid (Argentina). The latter, in addition to clinical interest, have practical value and are often not recognized. Great attention is also paid to modern methods of research and evaluation at the time of diagnosis.
In the architectonics of heads as possible consistent, but the volume varies depending on the nature of practical importance and peculiarities of clinical course of various diseases.
Modern gastroenterology in various sections remains a specialty of physician and surgeon, so to compile were representatives of the specialty.
This section of the website is designed primarily for physicians, but also for doctors of other specialities who are interested in gastroenterology.

The number of patients with diseases of the digestive system very much. In this regard, a clinical manual of gastroenterology is especially necessary for a wide range of practical doctors (surgeons, therapists, pediatricians).
In recent years there appeared a number of new provisions as in the understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of some diseases of the digestive system, and methodological approaches to the diagnosis and tactics of therapy.
Addition and processing of separate sections were conducted in the light of the latest achievements of both Russian and foreign gastroenterology.
The structure and the total amount left unchanged. Some sections slightly increased due to the reduction of others.
As in the first edition, considerable attention is paid to the questions of diagnostics and treatment tactics.
Section can be useful as practitioners and researchers.

Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
The book describes the diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, intestine, liver, bile ducts, pancreas).
Generally known facts are given briefly, now conceptions of etiology and pathogenesis as well as of therapy of the diseases in question being described in more detail. Considerable attention is given to diagnostics.
Clinical findings (peculiarities of the course of the disease, differential diagnostics) are based on extensive clinical data and great experience of each of the authors. Readers' attention is called to the little known nosological forms (a number of lesions of the esophagus, disaccharidase deficiency = MKD causing the symptoms of a small intestinal lesion, Crohn''s disease, nonspecific ulcerous colitis). When describing organic diseases a corresponding differential diagnostics is made using modern intravital morphological examination of organs (aspiration biopsy of the mucosa of the digestive tract, needle biopsy of the liver).
Surgeons being among the authors permitted both to estimate the bordering fields of gastroenterology from an internist viewpoint and to propose a description of most rational surgical means.
A considerable space is allotted to therapy of certain diseases and special attention is called not only to administration of new drugs but also to the most rational combination of curative diet, pharmacological drugs, their dosage and duration of the treatment. Therapeutic measures during remission of the disease (courses of antirecurrent treatment of ulcer disease, chronic ulcerous colitis, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis of liver) are described in accordance with the character of the rapy of chronic diseases.
The book is intended for therapeutists and surgeons. The book contains 10 tables, 130 figures and 614 references.
