A significant place in the section is devoted to the description of the clinic of chronic gastritis, not only its widespread, but a rare and insufficiently known forms. Considerable practical interest the information concerning the relationship of gastritis with ulcers, polyps and cancer of the stomach, lesions of the intestine and gallbladder.

Introduction

It is known that between acute and chronic forms of a disease for the most part there successive relationship. However, this General provision is only partly and with great reservations applicable to relations between acute and chronic gastritis.
Significantly different and clinical significance of acute and chronic gastritis. Although not the first is rare, it is difficult problematic, standing in the center of attention of doctors diseases. But it can rightfully be said about chronic gastritis.
It is no exaggeration to say that the problem of chronic gastritis is in gastroenterology one of the Central places. It is connected not only with the independent value of the given disease, but its likely role as a predecessor of ulcers, polyps and cancer of the stomach.
More recently, in vivo detection of chronic gastritis met great difficulties. Over the past quarter century in this regard achieved impressive success. An opportunity has arisen not only accurate diagnosis of chronic gastritis, but also delineation of its separate morphological forms and dynamic study their evolution.
For all that, in the modern doctrine of chronic gastritis there are still many gaps and controversial sides. Heterogeneous views on the essence of gastritis, its etiology and pathogenesis, classification, treatment, etc.
Still debate as to the nature gastritises of changes in terms of their inflammatory or of another nature. Not yet known relative role of exogenous and endogenous factors in etiology and pathogenesis of gastritis. Special attention is paid to the study of etiological significance occupational hazards, drug effects, metabolic and endocrine disorders. In recent years, known to the recognition received representation about participation in the pathogenesis of chronic gastritis immunological changes autoaggressive nature. Related information are of great theoretical and practical interest, in accordance with which they will be given due consideration.
For the Clinician, it is important to be well-oriented in these modern methods of research of morphology and function of the mucosa of the stomach. Among them, first of all, we should mention gastrobiopsy, with the introduction of which into clinical practice is related to many advances in the understanding of pathomorphology and especially in the diagnosis of chronic gastritis.
A major step forward was also development of new methods of probe study of gastric secretion using its powerful stimulant. The result has opened the possibility for secretory indicators to make representation about the structural features of the parenchyma of the stomach. This is all the more important that the primary method of morphological diagnosis of chronic gastritis - suction gastrobiopsy is still not publicly available.
Despite advances in differentiation of separate forms of chronic gastritis, creating meet the practical demands of its clinical classification continues to be relevant to the tasks of the day.
Do not cause meet and modern methods of treatment of this suffering, which, of course, need to be improved. This explains the interest some new proposals in this direction, some of which deserves serious attention.
Seeing their main task in terms of modern ideas about chronic gastritis, we remember that understand and correctly assess new can only knowing the old one. Indeed, many of the vision of the founders and of the giants of gastroenterology get in our days, confirmation, and it would be unforgivable to consign it to oblivion.
Relying on the traditions of Russian gastroenterological schools, literary information and the results of their observations of more than 4000 patients with chronic gastritis, we will avoid one-sided and biased interpretation of controversial issues and openly to share your concerns.
This section is not a textbook, and the distribution of materials in it differs from similar publications. Relatively more attention we pay problematic and controversial aspects of the modern school of gastritis and less well-known and established provisions.
