Physical exercises are used with the medical purpose, are divided into gymnastics, ideomotor, sports and applied exercises in sending impulses to the muscles and games (see diagram below).
Gymnastic exercises are specially selected combination of natural human movements. Selectively influencing using gymnastics on individual muscle groups and joints, can improve the overall coordination of movements, to restore and develop the strength, speed of movement, mobility and flexibility.
Recently in medical physical culture for restoration of functions of the oporno-impellent device, and cardio-respiratory systems are used rioplatense (dance) movement in music, which corresponds to the higher nervous activity.
Gymnastic exercises are classified according to several indicators.
For anatomical sign - on exercises for the muscles of the head, neck, chest, waist, upper extremities muscles of the upper and lower limbs, abdominal muscles and pelvic floor.
On the basis of activity - active (performed by the student); passive (performed by Methodist medical physical culture with a determined effort of the patient); active-passive (performed engaged with the help of a practitioner LFC).
On the basis of the use of physical objects and projectiles are exercises without subjects and shells; exercises with objects and shells (with gymnastic stick, rubber, tennis or volleyball ball, printed ball, clubs, dumbbells, balls, skipping rope and others);
exercises on shells (on the gym wall, inclined plane, gymnastics bench, gymnastic rings, mechanotherapeutic equipment, uneven bars, balance beam, beam, etc).
On species characteristics and nature of performance - sequence and combatant, preparatory (introductory), corrective, for the coordination of movements, breathing, resistance, vises and stops, jumps and leaps, rioplatense exercises.
Sequence and drill exercises (build, turns, walking and other) organize and discipline involved, generating the necessary motor skills. They are used for a follow-up phase of rehabilitation, and health groups.
Preparatory introductory exercises prepare the body for the upcoming exercise. Their choice depends on the aims of the lesson, and the level of physical preparedness of the patient.
Corrective exercises prevent and reduce defects posture, correct deformities. They are often combined with passive correction: the traction on an inclined plane, wearing orthopedic corset, special laying with the use of rollers, massage. Corrective exercises have a combined effect on different muscle groups at the same time strengthen one and the other relaxing. For example, in patients with severe thoracic kyphosis (stooped) corrective influence gymnastic exercises aimed at strengthening the weak and strained muscles and stretching and relaxation of the large pectoral muscle, which is in a state of heightened tone; with flat feet - special exercises to strengthen the muscles of the leg and foot in combination with exercises in the correct posture.
Exercises on coordination of movements and balance are used for training of the vestibular apparatus in hypertensive disease, neurological diseases, of persons of elderly and older involved in health groups. They are in various starting positions (standing on the narrow area of support, on one leg, on his socks)with open and closed eyes, with subjects without them, on an exercise bench, gymnastics balance beam. The exercises on coordination of movements also include exercises, directed on forming of domestic skills, lost as a result of a disease (fastening buttons, pinching Shoe, ignition matches, the opening of the lock, the key, and others). Widely used modeling, Assembly of the children's pyramids, mosaics etc.
