Laminaria sugary [ Laminaria saccharina (l) Lamour.], the Japanese kelp (Laminaria japonica Aresch.) and kelp palatrussardi [Laminaria digitata (Huds.) Lamour.] - wild algae, bearing the brand name of seaweed. Contain polysaccharides, iodides and other Powder (1/2 - 1 teaspoon a day) or pellets of this powder is used as a mild laxative with chronic constipation, and in connection with the iodine content for the treatment and prevention of atherosclerosis and goiter. Contraindicated during nephritis, hemorrhagic diathesis and in other cases where protivopokazana iodine preparations.
