Linear power loss

Linear power loss (let) - the option defines the quality of ionizing radiation; characterizes energy, lose ionizing particle or a quantum of electromagnetic radiation per unit path in the exposed environment.
Measured in kiloelectronvolt on microns (Kev/MK). With some exceptions, the more of let radiation, the greater its biological efficiency. In the practice of radiation protection values let in water used for determining the quality factor (FC) of the radiation at the table (see Art. 322), recommended by the International Commission on radiation units and measurements.
