Myoma

Fibroids (myoma; from the Greek. mys, myos-muscle), a benign tumor originating from muscle tissue. There are myoma of smooth muscle fibers leiomyoma (see) and of striated - rhabdomyomas (see). Some Meters contain a large number of vessels (the so-called angiotomy). Be localized M can wherever there muscle tissue, but are more common in the uterus, stomach, intestines.
Malignant counterparts fibroids - myosarcoma - divided into a leiomyosarcoma (see)coming from smooth muscles, and rhabdomyosarcoma (see), originating from a striated muscle fiber.
