Monomitsin

Monomitsin (Monomycinum; list B) is an antibiotic used to treat diseases caused by sensitive germs (staphylococci, streptococci, pneumococci, dysentery Bacillus, Escherichia coli and other). Monomitsin intramuscularly (250 000 IU 3 times a day at intervals of 8 hours), the interior (250 000 IU 6 times a day during 2 - 3 days), intraperitoneally during operations on abdominal cavity (500 000-750 000 UNITS)and is used for washing cavities (250-500 IU in 1 ml of 0.5% solution novokaina). With long-term use of possible kidney damage, neuritis of the auditory nerve; ingestion, heartburn, nausea, vomiting. Treatment monomitsinom should be under a doctor's supervision. Release form: bottles of 250 000 UNITS. Keep in dark place at temperature not above 20 deg.
