The tricuspid valve insufficiency

The tricuspid valve insufficiency is due to organic rheumatic process, but more often relative as a result of the expansion of the right ventricle in patients with severe myocardial insufficiency.
With this heart defect during systolic blood thrown from the right ventricle into the right atrium, resulting in the right atrium hypertrophies (Fig. 7 and 8). As compensatory capabilities of the right ventricle are relatively small, soon develops the stagnation of blood in the pulmonary circulation.

Change of heart failure tricuspid valve. 1 - semilunar valve of aorta; 2 - border extended cavity ventricle; 3 - border hypertrophied infarction; 4 - semilunar valve pulmonary trunk; 5 - tricuspid valve; b - butterfly valve; 7 - the best place listening to the noise; 8 - projection borders healthy heart; 9 - projection borders of heart disease.

The tricuspid valve insufficiency occurs usually in patients with prolonged suffering from defects mitral or mitral and aortic heart valves. They complain of weakness, shortness of breath, palpitations, edema of the legs. Often develop ascites.
During examination noticed the blueness of the skin with yellowish shade. Neck veins swollen and throbbing. The liver is enlarged, at a palpation is celebrated her breathing. Ripple neck veins and liver function depends on backward waves of blood in the hollow veins due to abandonment of blood from the right ventricle into the right atrium and on in Vienna. Heart heart disease is extended to the right. When listening to audible systolic noise, especially at the bottom right edge of a breast bone (Fig. 9).
The prognosis is often poor due to the grave as rheumatic process and circulatory failure.
