Cleaning of populated areas

Sanitary cleaning of populated areas is a complex planning, organizational, sanitary, sanitary-technical and economic actions for collection, removal, disposal and recycling of waste with the purpose of health protection of the population and creation of hygienic conditions surrounded by people.
There are two systems of cleaning of populated areas: export (sanitation) and wastewater. Both in that, and in another system there are the following stages: 1) collection and storage of waste, 2) delete 3) neutralization. Below is a description and hygienic characteristics of each of the specified systems.

Settlements rectification has not only sanitary, but also for the economy, as some waste is used as fertilizer for thermal energy production, cattle fattening.
There are two systems of removal of waste from the community: export and driftwood. When the export system of liquid and solid wastes transported in specially designated areas for clearance. The rafting system, or sewage system, provides for the disposal of liquid waste (faeces, urine, industrial and other waste water) according to the special system of pipes outside the village. Solid waste is transported by transport or after grinding down in the sewer network.
Driftwood system is more perfect, as liquid sewage, while in a closed system of pipes that do not pollute the soil, air, buildings; this eliminates contact of people with sewage.
The introduction of sanitation reduces morbidity, especially the incidence of intestinal infections. Therefore, the construction of Sewerage systems has become an integral part of urban development in the USSR.
