Otorhinolaryngology

Otolaryngology - (abbreviated - ENT) - the area of clinical medicine studying diseases of the ear, nose and throat (pharynx, larynx, trachea). Evolving from the surgery and therapy in the late 19th century in a separate specialty, otorhinolaryngology currently engaged in the study and treatment of some diseases of bronchus, lung, esophagus , and nearby to the ear parts of the brain, meninges.
Otolaryngology is mainly surgical specialty, as most of the diseases of the ear, nose, pharynx and larynx requires the use of surgical methods of treatment.
