Pathologic anatomy

Pathological anatomy of medical science that studies the changes of organs and tissues of the sick organism, and the etiology (see) and pathogenesis (see) disease. Objects of research are the bodies of humans and experimental animals, as well as the organs and tissues removed from sick people and animals during the life during surgery or diagnostic purposes (see Biopsy). Pathologic anatomy uses different methods - macroscopic, histological, histochemical and electron microscope, x-ray, autoradiographic and other studies.
