Preventive measures

Prevention of staphylococcal infections should be comprehensive and consist of the following parts: 1) reorganization of the carriers of pathogenic Staphylococcus; 2) strict observance of sanitary-and-hygienic mode in medical institutions; 3) the compulsory isolation of patients with staphylococcal diseases from other patients; 4) accounting alert district sanitary epidemiological stations of all patients, as well as notices of any staphylococcal complications in patients with other diseases; 5) active immunization of susceptible persons, primarily children and patients subject to surgical interventions, as well as pregnant women, with the aim of creating immunity as in vaccinated, so newborns; 6) sanitary-educational work among the population.
