Roentgenology

Radiology is a section of radiology. Radiology studies of x-rays, open C. K. x-rays in 1895, and uses their action. The branch of medicine that studies the questions of application of x-ray radiation for research healthy and pathologically changed organs and systems of a person for the purpose of disease prevention, recognition and treatment, called medical radiology. It consists of four main sections: 1) x-ray prevention (see Fluorography); 2) x-ray diagnosis (diagnosis); 3) x-ray therapy, i.e. the application of x-ray radiation for the treatment of certain diseases; 4) medical rentgenotechnika dealing with the study of physical-technical properties of x-ray radiation, as well as methods for calculation, design, manufacture and operation of x-ray machines (see) and auxiliary equipment for x-ray study (see).
