Sucrose

Sucrose (sugar beet, sugar cane; C12H22O11 ) - carbohydrate group disaccharides. Colorless crystals, soluble in water, poor in spirit. Sucrose is widespread in the plant world, it is particularly rich sugar beet and sugar cane, which in industrial scale receive food sugar (see). By the hydrolysis of sucrose breaks down into glucose (see) and fructose.
