Solar plexitis

Solar plexitis (synonym solar syndrome) is a disease of the solar plexus. Etiology its different. Solar plexitis may occur after traumas (injuries of the abdomen) and in various intoxications: worm infestation, lead poisoning, alcohol, nicotine.
Clinically solar plexitis is manifested by pain localized in epigastralna (epigastric region, often radiating around the abdomen and sometimes in the chest cavity. At a palpation find weak points in the midline of the abdomen on the border of the upper and middle thirds of the distance between the xiphoid process and the navel, and also on the border of the middle and lower thirds. Along with the pain observed cramps and gastric atony and intestines, violations of gastric secretion, constipation, diarrhea, biliary dyskinesia, spasms of the muscles of the uterus and urinary tract. The forecast. Solar plexitis is usually a chronic disease, long runs with exacerbations and remissions.

Treatment. First of all try to resolve the root cause of solar plexitis. Apply topical treatment in the form of warm-water, mud applications (temperature no higher than 38 degrees) on the solar plexus and the spine at the level from V to XII of the thoracic vertebrae.
