Aging and nutrition

As already mentioned, the ageing of the organism in different parts of the currency and the functions of the body is changing. The power supply must comply with the state of metabolic processes. Therefore, if during aging metabolic processes change in themselves, and norms of a balanced diet for each age group should be different. If not, then the discrepancy between the age level of exchange processes and the nature of power can be one of the factors that can impair a person's state of health. It is known that in elderly and senile age are developing or progressing diseases, particularly cardiovascular system. Among the possible causes of the influence of environmental factors, in particular the power is essential. One of the ways of avoiding them can be to find the link between nutrition and the nature of the pathological process in the body.
But more importantly, namely properly organized food, definition of optimum quantitative and qualitative characteristics of power. Search for means of physiological effects, physiological regulation of metabolic processes, in particular, in the aging body. Currently, more and more researchers have come to the conclusion that the regulation and rationing food are some of the most effective ways of influence on an aging organism. One of the best examples of the work started in the 30-ies of SSAU, which showed that limited the caloric content, but qualitatively adequate nutrition leads to an increase in life expectancy of animals.
It is very important that at present there is an ongoing debate about the mechanisms and ways of prolonging the effect of the limited supply on life expectancy. According to C. N. Nikitina (1974), the most important are stress, activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary system and due to changes of currency, in particular the synthesis of protein. Many researchers have attributed this effect with the lengthening of the period of growth, based on certain relationship between the length of the growth period and the duration of life. Anyway, in different countries experimentally proved the influence of diet on longevity that makes a real and sufficiently relevant to the formulation of the question in General, and a further search in this main direction is promising.
Currently one of the most significant tasks geragosian, as we have noted, is the study of the problem of the influence of lifestyle on the development and course of the aging process. On this issue there are extreme, sometimes completely opposite point of view. One of them is that all age-related changes in the course of successive aging and possible duration, life strictly programmed, and the other is that the duration of life is almost entirely driven by external factors and way of life in animals or humans.
Most researchers have concluded that the primary programmed genetic changes determine the pace and tempo of development of the aging process. However, the way of life of the animal and man can create optimal conditions for the deployment of this biological program, to make full use of its opportunities or can pervert the course and the rate of course of physiological processes, leading to a drastic limitation of the duration of life. Among the many factors occupies a special place power factor, for through it the environment constantly interfere with the metabolism of the body. Food is a kind of natural physiological by chemical regulation of the processes occurring in the body. This is confirmed by many of the works executed in the Soviet Union and abroad. O. P. Molchanova (1960), 3. M. agranovskii, E. A. Lebedev (1971), K. S. Petrovsky (1971), A. A. Pokrovski (1976), Bergner (1971), Yudkin (1972), ., Hejda (1974) and others have shown that by changing the nature of power, you can influence the activity of different enzyme systems and shifts in some parts of neurohumoral regulation. A balanced diet, rationally constructed diet are largely factors (improving or deteriorating) metabolism and other functions of the body. This is especially important for the ageing of the organism, which is modified. It is impossible not to pay attention to an important contradiction. Researchers have long emphasized the necessity of deep study of the peculiarities of nutrition of elderly and old people. Pointed to the fact that the change of rational system of power seriously affects the aging process. However, sequential, strictly scientific study of the principles of nutrition of the elderly and the old man started not so long ago.
