Sympatholytic tools

Sympatholytic tools - substances that inhibit the transfer of the institution at the level of the endings of the sympathetic (adrenergic) nerves. Unlike adrenolytic funds, sympatholytic means not only eliminate the action of adrenaline and noradrenaline, but even strengthen it. To sympatholytic tools include aldomet, oktadin (see), ornid (see) and reserpine (see).
Under the influence of sympatholytic funds lowers blood pressure, slows the heart rate, increases intestinal peristalsis.
Sympatholytic funds are used primarily to lower blood pressure in hypertension.
When applying sympatholytic funds, especially oktadina and ornida, which may cause orthostatic hypotension.
