Theobromine (Theobrominum; list B) - alkaloid contained in the seeds of the cocoa; a spasmolytic agent. Theobromine has a stimulating effect on the heart functions, expands coronary vessels and bronchi, increases urination, slightly stimulates the Central nervous system. Apply with spasms of vessels of heart and brain, sometimes swelling heart and kidney origin of 0.25-0.5 g (after meals) 1 - 2 times a day. Higher doses inside; single 1 g, 3 g daily
