Thiopental sodium

Thiopental sodium (Thiopentalum-natrium; synonym Pentothal sodium; list B) - neingaltine drug derivative of barbituric acid. Single drug dose of thiopental sodium is anaesthesia last 20-25 minutes Used for induction of anesthesia during short-term operations. Slowly injected 1.25 or 2.5% solution. Solution prepared immediately before use. The highest single and daily doses -1, Thiopental sodium is contraindicated in diseases of the liver, kidneys, diabetes, exhaustion, shock, collapse, bronchial asthma, inflammatory diseases of the throat, nose and nasopharynx, frenzied state.
