Thymol

Thymol (Thymolum; list B) - antiseptic and antihelminthic drug. Applied for the treatment of hookworm disease, the trichocephalosis, and when diarrhea, flatulence. Assign inside to 0.75-1 g 1-4 times a day under special schemes, depending on the disease. The course of treatment is 3-6 days. Higher doses for adults: single 1 g daily 4, Thymol is contraindicated in cardiac decompensation, liver and kidney failure, peptic ulcer disease of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as during pregnancy. The preparation is incompatible in powders with camphor, menthol, the salol. Thymol is also used as a preservative for some pharmaceuticals. The release form: powder.
