Tractotomy

Tractotomy is the intersection pathways in the spinal cord or brain to stop holding pathological impulses in higher - and lower parts of the nervous system.
Tractotomy can be made at the level of the spinal cord (cordotomy), oblong brain (tabloid cordotomy, bulbar tractotomy), middle brain (mezenterialna tractotomy), large brain (thalamocortical tractotomy).
The major indication for tractotomy are unquenchable pain syndromes, beyond the conservative therapy and interventions on the peripheral nervous system.
