Working capacity

Work capacity is a combination of physical and mental abilities, allowing a person to actively participate in socially useful labour.

Functional disorders and various pathological processes can cause temporary loss or decrease of working ability (see Disability). Temporary and especially permanent disability, depriving the patient the opportunity to participate in socially useful work, is detrimental to the interests of the patient and the state. Therefore, the most important social and economic problem, the solution of which a large and direct part nurse, is to fully contribute to the improvement of work capacity of workers and prevention of disability. Ability to work is an important indicator of the health of the population. The reduction of disease and injury, most often leading to temporary disability and disability; is a national task.
