More and more revealed the need for wide implementation in practice of sports doctors modern medical biochemistry. Still sporting the doctors engaged in practical work, and the leading scientific development issues of sports medicine, in fact, deprived of the opportunity to conduct a wide biochemical examination of sportsmen. Along with well-developed theoretical questions of biochemistry of sports, huge and the most important for medicine section of biochemistry, namely medical biochemistry, continues to be in sports medicine in its infancy. However, it is obvious, that without studying the electrolyte metabolism, metabolism of catecholamines and other hormones, analysis of biochemical mirrors" blood, etc., not to engage in full and on a modern level any medical questions. Should also be developed further and other ways of scientific research in sports medicine. So, for example, thin violations of metabolism in the myocardium can be studied in the experiment cytologically and histologically. In comparison with biochemical data, these studies provide opportunities topographic study of the biochemical changes underlying disorders of the myocardium. This data can be of great help in solving some have not resolved the questions of sports medicine, which has not only theoretical value.
Not everything done in the studying of pathological conditions arising from causes in athletes.
You must abandon still occurring in some works of sports doctors to analyze trends and to consider the positive changes, ignoring variations in health status that are detected in small, but there are still quite a significant number of cases.
It is necessary to develop also another question, which is not doing quite and because they know very little, though, in our opinion, this question is essential. We are talking about the incidence of trainers who are former athletes. The analysis of morbidity should help in solving the issue on the influence of sports at a young age to the state of health after these classes are finished. The profession of a coach has their professional duties, which are not well understood, however, allow the suggestion undoubtedly existing medical contraindications to practice this profession.
We do not have a sufficient factual material on this issue, but clinical experience shows that the coaches are likely to seek advice about hypertension, ischemic heart disease and ulcerative disease of the stomach and duodenum. The causes of these diseases, in the modern view, associated with emotional factors. It seems that this issue is essential and requires solution. Not solved the question about the behavior of the athlete at the end of his sports activities. Almost no one does. However, this question is not simple. Changing mode of sports loads requires a corresponding change of diet, lifestyle, etc., apparently, should be very gradually to reduce the physical strain, for a sharp change habits lead to extremely negative consequences. So, for example, cessation of physical activity or their sharp reduction while maintaining the same diet leads to obesity, atherosclerosis, etc., the Solution to this issue is extremely important.
Set forth in the present monograph the data underscore the need for a broad review of doctors, and first of all physicians of General medical network, with the possibilities of occurrence of various kinds of diseases and injuries during sports activities. Lack of familiarity with these questions often leads to the fact that all deviations in health, sometimes of course pathological character as belonging to the so-called peculiarities athletes only on the grounds that the athlete does not make complaints and sets records. The information given in this book convincingly shows the inadmissibility of such approach. Obviously, before taking any changes in the body of the athlete to the features necessary to conduct a thorough clinical study using all modern diagnostic capabilities, and most importantly, always remember about the opportunities of the pathological nature of such changes.
Thus, the necessity of studying of diseases and injuries during sports activities are obvious. This applies, in essence, all medical specialties.
Currently, due to the increase in the intensity and volume of training load in sport, and also with wide involvement of people of all age groups in physical education lack of familiarity doctors with the possibility of occurrence, flow features, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries during sports activities is inadmissible.
This collective monograph summarizes some results of work in this area and outlines the main ways and directions of the further development of these important and fundamental questions, which in many ways is still far from solution.
The decision of these questions will help to improve the achievements of Soviet sport and to provide a high level of health effects of physical exercise.
