Building public - constructions intended for accommodation of administrative, public, educational, cultural, health, Sports and social institutions.
To public buildings include: 1) administrative buildings, the Executive committees of district Soviets, committees of the party, trade Union and social organizations, banks, post office and etc.; 2) building of sanitary-hygienic and communal services: saunas, laundries, yards of linen, cleaning, ateliers, workshops and so on; 3) buildings for cultural: cinemas, theatres, circuses, clubs, museums and so on; 4) building to practice physical culture and sports;
5) academic buildings: schools, technical schools, institutes; 6) of the building maintenance of children: nurseries, gardens, nursery plants, pioneer camps , etc; 7) building public catering and trade; 8) the building of the medical-preventive: hospitals, polyclinics, outpatient clinics, sanitary station , and so on; 9) a building for animals.
When planning the settlement must take into account the proper placement of public buildings.
When determining the location of a public building for service should consider ways of communication, their convenience. For children (schools, nurseries, gardens) - traffic safety.
Building 3, 5, 6, 8 groups should have enough land with greenery and not to be subjected to harmful effects (smoke, gases, odors, noise from industrial enterprises and transport.
For each group of public buildings are design standards and sanitary rules for their operation. For most public buildings has established the standards of the working area (not less than 3.5 m2 per employee), ventilation and lighting (up to 200 Lux in the workplace).
